I'm moving house. What do I do with my decals?

Firstly, don't stress. Hopefully this will be one of the less stressful parts of moving!
Just as with putting the decals up, there is no magic to taking them down and packing them away. If the decals have been on the wall for a long time they may be quite secure, but once you peel a little part of the decal away from the wall at the edge, they will easily peel away. The adhesive used on our decals never dries or bonds to the wall, no matter how long they are there for.
If you don't have your backing paper from when you ordered, then baking paper is a good alternative. (It can be a bit lively and try to roll away from you, but if you place it down so that it's trying to curl downwards, it should stop some of the fun and games!) If you do still have your backing paper and it has been tightly rolled up, it is worth flattening this out before you get to work (a quick fix is to roll it with the non stick side facing outward for a little while).
A mailing tube is also a really good idea to keep your decals safe, but if you don't have this, look for a safe corner of a box filled with nice soft things so that they are not going to bash around on your travels.
One of the things to watch out for is that you keep the sticky side of your decals as clean as possible through this process. So, check your backing paper for dust and fluff before you place them on there and once at the other end give the wall a quick wipe just as you did when you first got your decals.
You will probably find that the decals naturally don't stick to the backing sheet as well as they did when they were newly made, so watch out fo any little pieces becoming loos when you roll up your sheets.
Once in the tube your decals are ready for their travels. Good luck with the move! 🏡
